We are Michael and Kim LaRoche…

…and we own and operate Pampered Puppies in Wellesley, MA. We affectionately refer to dogs of all ages as "puppies". And, we believe all puppies benefit from pampering and a little time away from home in a friendly atmosphere and safe environment.

We have been asked why "puppies"? Besides our obvious love for dogs, we couldn’t consistently find the quality products and services that we wanted for our Portuguese Water Dogs (Pilot & Gypsy) without driving long distances to our breeders or handlers. If there were others like us, then there was a need and an opportunity to provide a valuable service.

After living and growing up in Wellesley, it was also a time when both kids were about to finish college. Michael had been an international management consultant and software executive for more than 25 years. Kim had been a commercial lender for a very long time. One might say, we had spent our professional careers helping other companies achieve their business objectives. It was now time to put our money where our mouths were!

Pampered Puppies was born in our garage, here in Wellesley in June 2018. We grew fast and within a month, we had confirmed there was an unmet need, and we needed space to scale up. We opened our shop in April 2019, and now a few years later, here we are.

We would like to send out a special thank-you to all our clients for your ongoing support. Many of you have been with us from the beginning (yes, in the garage) and have helped make Pampered Puppies what it is today.

Whether you have questions about training, socializing or grooming your puppy, stop by and pay us a visit; we’re happy to help. We are located in the historic building of the Linden Square Shopping District, across the street from everyone’s favorite deli: The Linden Store. We have a very experienced team of fellow dog lovers, who are happy to answer your questions regarding dog behavior, food, treats, supplements, shampoos, or even our favorite gear.
