Aghata Soares, Groomer

Olá, I'm Aghata! I grew up in Central de Minas, Brazil, and I have always loved animals, especially dogs. Early on I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but as I got older I became far more interested in grooming. I liked the combination of animal care and creative expression, and it seemed like the perfect career for me.

When I moved to the United States more than five years ago, I enrolled in a structured training program to become a certified professional groomer. I studied grooming tools, techniques, and the many breed standards, and I practiced every day to sharpen my skills and produce good results for the dogs and their owners.

In 2024, I met Michael and Kim and joined Pampered Puppies as a Grooming Apprentice. All of the groomers in the salon were, and continue to be, incredibly supportive. I learned how to deliver quality work under time pressure while keeping the dogs calm, and my confidence has grown tremendously. I have now completed my apprenticeship and become a full-time groomer. I am currently pursuing my certification through International Professional Groomers, Inc. (IPG).

I love working at Pampered Puppies. I love the clients and the puppies I work with every day. This is a supportive environment where good people truly enjoy what they do and are dedicated to the well-being of every visiting dog. The community has made me feel welcome, and I look forward to meeting more of you and showing you what I can do for your puppy.
