Our Pledge: Training & Behavior Modification

The Pampered Puppies Training & Daycare Philosophy

At Pampered Puppies, we believe that every dog deserves to feel safe, respected, and understood. Whether your dog is joining us for a specialized training program or spending the day in our interactive daycare groups, our promise to you remains absolute: we prioritize your pet's physical safety and emotional well-being above all else.

Our Scientific, Welfare-First Approach

We reject outdated "dominance" training myths that rely on fear, pain, or intimidation. Instead, our methods are rooted entirely in modern behavior science and proactive positive reinforcement.

  • Focus on Rewards: We motivate and teach dogs by capturing and rewarding their good choices using high-value treats, play, and affection.
  • Addressing Root Causes: When managing unwanted behaviors, we look at the underlying cause—like stress, fear, or over-arousal—and teach positive, alternative habits rather than simply punishing the symptoms.
  • No Aversive Tools: We strictly prohibit the use of pain or fear-inducing tools in our training and daycare playrooms. You will not find electronic shock/static collars, prong collars, or choke chains used to manage your pet.

Safe, Certified, and Proactive Daycare Play

Group play should be a fun, enriching experience, not a stressful one. To ensure our playrooms stay safe and harmonious without the use of force, we implement a rigorous standard of care:

  • Certified Staff: Every trainer or canine care associate must pass a comprehensive, accredited certification course in canine body language and pack management before they are permitted to run a playgroup.
  • Proactive Pack Management: Our team is trained to read the subtlest signs of stress or rising arousal (such as a stiff posture or intense staring) so they can calmly step in and redirect the dogs before a conflict can escalate.

Absolute Transparency: We manage our facility with total transparency. Webcams are available to clients Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm. Our safety guidelines ensure that emergency-only equipment (like compressed air horns or break sticks) is treated like a fire extinguisher—stored out of sight and reserved exclusively for rare, true emergencies to keep our dogs and staff safe.
