Audrey McRae, Salon Supervisor & Senior Groomer

Hi, I'm Audrey! I have lived in Massachusetts most of my life and have always been around animals. My passion started at age ten, when I began riding horses. Since then I have always found my way back to animals, whether around a barn, through Girl Scouts, or inside a grooming salon.

I first worked in a grooming salon in high school before moving to the retail side of animal care. For several years I worked as a Manager and Pet Food Advisor, and I loved the connection I built with people and their fur babies. My job was to help owners choose the best food for their situation, with a focus on clean feeding. Along the way I learned a great deal about allergies and skin conditions that can be improved through food, supplements, or a really good bath. If you have questions about food or skin, ask for me!

After a few years I missed the hands-on work and made the choice to return to grooming. I started at Pampered Puppies as a Grooming Assistant and was trained by my fellow groomers to do both custom and breed standard haircuts. I am Fear Free Certified and am currently pursuing my professional certification through International Professional Groomers, Inc. (IPG).

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my dog Maki, an Australian Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd mix who is full of energy. Her favorite game is to find the biggest stick at the dog park and bring it to me to swing around, which is a great workout for me too. After the park we snuggle up and she watches me play my favorite video games.
