Katelyn Fornaro, Groomer
Hi! I’m Katie! I was born and raised in Boston, and like my co-workers, I grew up loving animals. My favorite place to go on school breaks was the New England Aquarium. For several years, I volunteered in many of the aquarium's departments. I was especially excited when working with the seals and sea lions. It was through this experience that I decided to pursue a career working with animals full-time.
In 2017, I got an opportunity to get trained and begin grooming dogs at Petco. I worked there for more than 5 years and established a loyal following. I ultimately became the leader of the salon. However like many other groomers, I eventually got tired of the corporate culture. I was burning out.
I knew I had to leave, but I didn't want to stop grooming. In 2022, I joined a smaller, independent shop in the South End of Boston. There, I was exposed to many breeds I had not worked with at Petco. It was a great experience. I knew I had made the right decision, and I was back on track.
Now, I have joined an amazing grooming team at Pampered Puppies. They are a very experienced group, and I look forward to taking my skills to the next level. Please stop by, say hello. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful fur baby!
